The brief

As a green utility provider with a mission to reach Net Zero by 2040, Panda needed a powerful and scalable renewable energy solution that would land inside their five strategic pillars: innovation, partnership, environmental leadership, carbon reduction, and community engagement. The site's proximity to Dublin Airport made the engineering non-trivial, and MarVal Power was selected on both technical expertise and its commitment to EU-compliant sourcing.

MarVal Power designed and installed an 800 kWp rooftop system using 1,989 Longi 415W panels paired with seven SMA Core 2 inverters. Given the location, the system was engineered with strict height, glare and structural safety considerations. The design process included rigorous assessments to align with aviation guidelines, full wind-load analysis, and security compliance, ensuring both operational excellence and airspace safety on day one.

The installation stands as one of Ireland's largest commercial solar PV systems and a benchmark for what's possible in urban industrial environments. Panda has delivered measurable environmental benefits, reduced energy costs, and reinforced its leadership in the green utilities sector, 250 tonnes of CO₂ avoided annually against a site running 24/7.
