The brief

With a large-scale warehouse and a fleet of over 20 delivery vehicles, energy is a significant operational cost for O'Reilly's Wholesale. The company's leadership sought to proactively manage rising energy prices, secure long-term energy savings, and demonstrate a tangible commitment to sustainable business practices for their customers and community.

MarVal Power delivered a custom-designed solar PV solution engineered for the high-demand environment of a major distribution centre. Our analysis focused on matching the system's generation curve with the facility's peak daytime energy usage. The 144 Tier-1 panels were installed to maximise solar exposure, providing a consistent and reliable power source for lighting, refrigeration and administrative systems, reducing reliance on the grid during core business hours.

The result blends over 60 years of business heritage with a sustainable future: significant energy cost savings, a smaller carbon footprint, 19.85 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year, and 27.6% grid independence achieved on day one.
