The brief

With energy costs rising and climate targets in focus, One Dockland Central's management team sought a renewable energy strategy that would reduce carbon output and strengthen the building's energy independence. The solar PV system aligns with the site's future-ready infrastructure and its low-carbon design ethos, a decisive step, not a bolt-on.

MarVal Power designed and installed a 217 kWp rooftop system featuring 500 Tier-1 solar panels. The installation now produces approximately 183,000 kWh of solar electricity annually, cutting 61 tonnes of carbon emissions each year and offsetting the equivalent of the building's daytime power draw on sunny days.

By partnering with MarVal Power, One Dockland Central has reinforced its role as a sustainability leader in the commercial real estate sector, lowering emissions, lowering costs, and future-proofing its energy strategy. Every long-term tenant now benefits from a building that generates its own power on-site.
