George’s Dock
Commercial, Retail
Situated in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands, George’s Dock has embraced solar technology to reduce emissions, improve energy resilience, and control long-term costs. This project marks a key sustainability milestone for the commercial property, delivering clean energy directly from its rooftop.
Project Overview
George’s Dock now hosts a 71 kWp rooftop solar PV system, comprising 188 high-efficiency panels. Designed to meet nearly 30% of the building’s energy needs, the system strengthens operational sustainability and supports corporate ESG goals.
Project Background
As energy prices rise and carbon targets tighten, George’s Dock sought to invest in clean energy that would reduce reliance on the grid while cutting emissions and operating costs. MarVal Power was selected to design and deliver a solution that aligned with both environmental ambitions and building functionality.
Solution Delivered
MarVal Power installed a 71 kWp solar PV array using 188 Tier 1 panels. The system is expected to produce 79,818 kWh annually, offsetting nearly a third of the property’s energy usage and enhancing long-term grid independence.
