DGD Shredding

Company Background

DGD Shredding is a secure on-site and off-site shredding company. Established in 1998 by Liam Garvey and Mark Doupe to provide secure shredding services across the Mid-West Region in Ireland. Their environmental processes play a key role in the day to day running of their organisation.

Project Brief

Leading from the top, Founders, Liam and Mark take environmental considerations into account for every decision where an impact is likely.

They work to minimise environmental impact; from the vehicles they use, the equipment they operate to their supplier’s and operational processes.

In 2005, they acquired a 15,000 square foot ‘Destruction Centre’ in Raheen Business Park Limerick which incorporates numerous environmental factors.

Installing Solar Panels was a crucial step on their journey towards becoming a Carbon Net Zero business.

System Design

The works included a 54kWp system was installed using 130 Longi high quality PV panels and 1 SMA Core 2 inverter. The system was installed from start to finish with zero interruptions to the day to day running of the business.
